How an Audit Can Make Your Marketing More Strategic

It's tax season. Did you file?! Well in honor of tax season,
here is an article looking at how you can fine tune your marketing
program with an audit. No IRS agents are involved.

The Cost Conundrum

Though widely circulated perhaps some of you have
never read this great piece by Atul Gawande in the New Yorker
regarding health care costs. Worth a look in the context
of all that is swirling around in health care.

Marketing ROI - Closing the Gap between Finance and Marketing

While healthcare marketers may never be able to get ROI right
we can try and risk not being superfluous.

Incorporating Hospitality into Long-term Care

While hospitality may not be a word I use to describe
changing experiences in long term care, this article does a good job
of explaining what it means to have a resident centered culture
as opposed to a customer service/hospitality mentality.
I particularly like the shift that healthcare workers need to
make from a "take care" of our elders mentality to
one of helping our elders "thrive"

The Power of Authority

This is an excellent piece on several fronts - great content,
excellent writing and structure.

The author's expertise is copywriting for online success.
This article sets the stage for the need for good copywriting when looking to
have your web site / blog rank. Frankly there are so many tips that you walk
away saying I probably need help doing this.
Ah, light bulb. Who would I hire? This person.

When you go back and re-read the piece you are struck by just how good
a writer this person is. He really lured me into the white paper by
first looking at the notion of authority and what bizarre behaviors people will do
because they are bowing to authority. He states that neuroscience for example
tells us that the decision-making parts of our brain often shut down when we
encounter authoritative advice or direction. So just this information without
getting to the end goal of the article has captured my attention
because I can use it directly. But then there is even more.

This month we are keynoting both the Missouri and
Pennsylvania Assisted Living Association conferences and

Drop me a line.

Fast Forward completed a marketing audit and plan
for Gates Moore and Company in GA and are now helping them implement
the plan. We also completed a strategic marketing plan for
