August is a time
for regrouping. The September rush will soon be upon us and then
blink yes the holidays. Oh my where did that year go?!
Normally this feature is about information you can use in your day to day
business. So I hope that you will indulge me as I deviate from the
norm to tell you about the new Fast Forward Consulting. I think you
will see that there is great information at our new web site that you can
use.

Expanded Focus
Most of you know me as a 25+ year marketing consultant and we will
continue to provide those services. Many of you also know that I
have developed a certain philosophy around marketing that is based on
leveraging word of mouth. That led me to writing an article, The
Chief Experience Officer, that became the basis upon which the Cleveland
Clinic started their office of patient experience and hired Bridget Duffy,
M.D. as their first CXO. Though she is no longer at the clinic, she
is a strategic advisor to our company.
So no stretch to see how I arrived at Marketing=Experience.
And that
has led to our expanded focus, particularly looking at patient experience
in hospitals and the experience across the continuum of aging services,
particularly in assisted and nursing facilities.
Because we
believe that indeed The World is Flat (check out Friedman's book), we
embarked on overseas consulting back in 2004. Now with an expanded
team, we have people in the UK and India who can facilitate business
development to and from the U.S.
As we
added to our team we also added thought leaders and great speakers and so
you will see a renewed focus on using our services where speakers with
great content and delivery are needed - whether an event, retreat or
employee meeting.
Expanded Team
We are
truly excited about the team we have brought to the plate. Nancy
O'Brien and Deb Andelt along with myself, are the core of the experience
team that operates across health entities. As we focus on hospital
care, we bring in Marshall Steele, M.D. who has successfully built
destination joint centers across the U.S. And when we need more of a
long term care perspective, we bring in a former nursing home
administrator, Phil DuBois, who has a unique perspective of having been a
resident in his own nursing home! Kathy Bradway brings a unique
design sense to the fore. Check out her photos of hospice and
nursing home transformations. Because the spiritual aspects of care across
the health continuum are vital, we have added a former hospital pastoral
care director to the team in Elizabeth Hyland.
Sue
Jamison who I first met in Dubai in 2004 is our UK based consultant for
international work and an up and coming marketer, Vivek Shukla, is based
in India. Last but not least Robin Hammond, our marketing director, rounds
out the team.
So take a
tour and tell us what you think!
