Birds of a Feather Tweet Together
Up until a year ago the only tweeting I did was when I sang Rockin Robin
in
one of my performances. Now 600 or so followers later,
let me share some Twitter etiquette.
Social Responsibility
When I write or speak about word of mouth I talk about cause marketing
and
how you should adopt causes that are strategically aligned with your
mission. This
Fast Company article takes it a step further, aligning causes with the type
of brand you
portray. Although this is more about causes you adopt, how you act in
this space
could have an affect on others adopting your organization as its cause.
And
Speaking of Purpose - A Must Read
Mark Hurst of Good Experience and the GEL conferences has one of the most
eloquent articles I have read on purpose and meaning and creating
experiences
for you and others. I challenge you to read it especially as it starts
with ad man Julian Koenig reflecting on his life.
Advertising and Boomers
So with the context from above and keeping in mind that most of our
audiences are boomers and the people they care for (older and younger) read
this.
The
First To Go
We know marketing is usually the first on the chopping block when it
comes to
cuts in an organization. I've been there! But this Marketing
Profs article,
while not directly related to health care, has many transferable strategies
to
stay off the block. So chop chop....

Any time we run something about grammar, word

List
Segmentation?
As you have read this newsletter over the past months you notice
that I address marketing issues, experience issues, hospital issues
and aging services or long term care issues.
We are thinking about, thinking only, about having a newsletter for
hospitals
and a newsletter for all others that cover aging services.
First what do you think? If you like the segregation,
send me an email and let
me know what list you would like to be on - indicate: hospitals, aging
services, both.
Linked-In Group Growing
We've started a new group on Linked-In called The Resident
Experience - CCRC's, Assisted and Nursing Facilities. Now with
76
members,
this is the largest group of its kind looking at the
experience across the aging continuum.
